Young Carers

How Can We Help You?

When someone in your family has an illness, a disability or a problem with drugs/alcohol, you can have a lot of confusing feelings. That’s normal. You are not alone; there are thousands of children and young people, like you, in the UK. Here in Enfield there are thousands of young people who help to care for a family member or someone close to them.

We understand the problems you face each day, and are working hard to deliver services to support and help you.

Young Carers

Our Young Carers Workers are working with schools, colleges and universities in Enfield to help them support and identify young carers so that they can understand what you’re going through, find better ways of helping you get through the school day and manage homework demands. We want them to understand what it’s like juggling your home life and having to complete assignments and homework, when there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

If you are under 16, our Young Carers Workers will enrol you with EyPIC ( Enfield Young People in Caring) our Young Carers Specific service. See below for more details of our Young Carers Service.
