Taking Care of Yourself

“It’s good to talk”……

Long term caring can be very stressful, and sometimes you feel as though you don’t cope as well as you should. Might you benefit from our counselling service? Counselling isn’t the same as discussing things with family or friends. You don’t have to protect yourself or the listener from the truth as you see it when you talk to a counsellor.

If you are willing to look thoughtfully and honestly at yourself and the problems that you experience, and if you are open to finding better ways of coping with your caring role, counselling might be a way forward for you.

A counsellor won’t pass judgement on what you say and isn’t there to give you advice, but will try to help you to develop insight into your problems and make decisions.

Get in touch with us at the Centre and we’ll organise free counselling sessions for you. Call us on 0208 366 3677 or email Joe on: healthcare@enfieldcarers.org.

If you are unsure if counselling is for you , please see the booklet below for more information.
