‘Working for Carers’ Programme – CV Writing & Interview Techniques

ECC is part of a London-wide ‘Working for Carers’ project that supports unpaid carers aged 25 or over move closer to employment. The project is led by Carer’s Trust and delivered by a network of 24 Carers Centres.

Together we help carers pursue their employment goals through confidence building, skills development, help with job search, volunteering and training opportunities.

We have group sessions and/or one to one appointments at ECC and an experienced and friendly advisor will work with you, to help you identify and achieve your goals.

WE HELP WITH: Job searches /applications: CV writing, interview skills and even what to wear etc.

  • Are you a long term carer who had to give up work due to your caring role and want to return part time?
  • Are you a person (25+) who’s never been able to work due to your caring responsibilities and doesn’t know where to start?
  • Are you thinking about volunteering to help you to improve your skills and confidence, after a long absence from the workplace?

Workshop dates:

  1. Introduction & Positivity – Meet the Employment Personal Advisor, learn more about what this project offers, discuss your needs, hopes and employment/educational background – Tuesday 18th February 2020, 10am— 2pm
  2. CV Writing & Interview Techniques – One to one help with writing your CV, tips for making yours stand out from the crowd. Practical advice and tips for preparing for and handling interview questions – Tuesday 25th February 2020, 10am — 2pm
  3. Job Club – Assistance with job searching, places to search, things to consider etc. – Tuesday 3rd March 2020, 10am — 2pm
