About us

Enfield Carers

Enfield Carers Centre is a local charity providing information, advice, training and other support services to people looking after someone who lives in Enfield.  These people are carers.

A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family, a partner or close friend who could not manage without help. This could be because of illness, frailty, disability, mental ill health or substance misuse problems.

Anyone can become a carer at any time in their life. Every day in the UK 6,000 people take on a caring responsibility.  3 in 5 people will be carers at some point in their lives.

There are over 30,000 unpaid carers within Enfield.  No two caring roles are the same and no two carers are the same. We offer a wide range of services to allow all carers to have a life outside of caring and enable carers to keep caring.

We offer social activities, opportunities to meet with other local carers, relaxation sessions for some ‘me time’ and practical advice and information.

We’re determined to improve the lives of carers.
